Commands to do upon Unix based Instance creation
apt-get update apt-get install apache2 htop iotop ncdu vim
Check VNC is listening locally and not listening externally:
cat /etc/libvirt/qemu/instance-000000* | grep vnc
Successful Instance creation confirmation
The Log line entry/Status code you should see/look for when confirming if an Instance has been created successfully is the following:
-----END SSH HOST KEY KEYS----- Cloud-init v. 0.7.2 finished at Day, Date Month YYYY HH:MM:SS +0000. Datasource DataSourceEc2. Up XXX.XX seconds
